Mommy's dreaded activity

Oh how mommy had put this tradition off hoping to run out of time....but then the guilt sat in and we boiled the eggs....
 Great egg coloring spectator!
Wonderful....she is wired and armed with breakable eggs.
Avery did do a good job of the coloring.  Mommy has to remember next year to try the solo cups instead of these shallow glass bowls (figured they wouldn't tip as easy)
Avery still enjoyed the glittering of the eggs the best....there were a lot of casualites this year as she was having a hard time understanding not to beat the bag on the table with the egg in it.  Oh well....it is all about the fun of it, right?
The survivors :)

Welcome to our world :)

Here...finally a good picture of our pretty little girl.  The funny thing is that she was in a time out.  So timeouts=decent picture opportunity?
Yeah...Avery has THIS effect on him... :)
"where we going now mama?"

Indy Zoo @ Springtime

We are off and heading into the zoo.  This little guy is ready to go!
The tigers are our favorite stop since this exhibit opened last May.  They are so cool to watch.
 "Here kitty kitty kitty...."
The male tiger was really frisky and active...he was attacking a ball, running all over, jumping up on the rocks..very much putting on a show for everyone.
And this is what happens when a 2yr old who hasn't had a nap is told NO-she cannot swim or pet the dolphins...oye!
But even though Avery was having a meltdown, the dolphins continued to happily swim by us
The sharks were one of Avery's favorites this time.  Braylin loved it too but mommy was quite freaked out as the sharks kept coming out (like 1/2-3/4 of their bodies) of the water.  It was quite creepy and they had never done that when we had been there before....
Love this smile...he makes everything better no matter what!
And this is the "smile" mom gets now when asked  to take a picture....
 Mommy's boys :)
 Happy Feet....the penguins always entertain
Avery loves her bears...we had to make two stops to see the polar bear as he was sleeping where we couldn't see him the first time through!
And again with the smile....gotta love it.

First Tooth

If you look really close on his bottom gum you can see his first tooth that finally popped through the gums a couple weeks ago (at 7 1/2 months).  He is working on two more too now....poor thing.

Park Place

Braylin's first visit to the city park.  He loves it outside no matter what we are doing.
The static in the hair just makes her look like the wild child that she is!
Poor Avery is always on the verge of her pants falling down.  She wears the adjustable waist but they only go so tight :(
Racing on the slides with Cousin Adam.
Braylin had some smiles for Cousin Adam who was pushing him in the swing for a little bit.
These two might be trouble together in the years to come..... :)

Hello Bunny

 Braylin LOVED the Easter Bunny
He kept petting and grabbing the fur
"Hello Mr. Wabbit...you are willy soft"
 "Hey...where you'd go....OH there you are!"
Avery was very excited to see the Easter Bunny but then she was scared so it took some time for her to warm up to him.
She wouldn't sit on his lap or on the bench with him but she would sit on a crate....
 "HURRY....take the picture!!!!"
 "cheese!"
And 2012 Easter Bunny pic is complete :)

Catching up...mommy is slacking

Big boy is big stuff in the high chair!
Safety first....always have glasses on when working with tools (she didn't get the memo that these are sunglasses and not safety glasses).
Braylin checking out the books he got for Valentine's.
Everyone likes a little chocolate...especially this kid.
Do they make chocolate covered puffs? Braylin with all his Vday loot from Mamaw & Papaw.
This kid loves stuffed toys.
So does this one....he likes anything cuddly.
Mommy's Little Cupid
Smiling for food...no problem.
Avery wanted to get some pics with Cousin Mariah
Our Shamrock!
And this is what happens if you don't brush his wet hair...we have lots of curl
Such a happy boy...he even loves shopping.
