Ying-A-Ling-A-Ling!!!!!!

Happy Holidays from the cutest of Santa's Lil' Helpers!
Sweet and Innocent....yeah, right!
"I think I hear something!"
Putting cookies & milk out for Santa...
And then deciding to "test" them to see how they taste....apparently they passed :)
Ahhh, a mouthful of cookie....and full of excitement.
Nothing better than the eyes of a child on Christmas morning when they see all the presents under the tree!!!!!
Santa left Avery a wooden rocking horse that was a huge hit....we were wondering if she was going to get off of it to open anything else.
Avery brings so much joy to all of us. We are so very lucky to have such a special little lady in our life.
Tractors....just what every little girl has in her stocking from Santa....right?
Yes....anything with Elmo on it makes her day :)
Love the wrapping paper being torn off and thrown back over her head!
Opening a very important gift from her special peeps in Charlotte (check out the computer behind her as we had to make sure Aunt Ashley was apart of Avery's Christmas morning).
Avery got the cutest dress up for Christmas. Auntie Ashley and Uncle Pete sent her a trunk of them and Aunt Darlene got her some pretty cool ones as well :)
"oooohhhh daddy, what is it?"
And again, we are back on the rocking horse....now sporting the adorable robe Great Grandma and Great Grandpa got her.

Terrified....

Avery was very into waving to Santa from the BACK of the line....as she got closer and closer as the line moved up, the more worried she appeared and then.....the flood gates opened!

Excited to Announce the Newest Addition!

Meet our new little guy, AJAX (also known as AJ and Jax). Our house just hasn't been the same since our unexpected loss of Tuff. Our hearts still ache for losing him so soon but believe he led us to our new little man. Where as Ajax will never be able to replace Tuff in hearts, it is the love we had for Tuff and as he had for us that made us want another of his kind.
Oh yes, just look at those paws! He is adjusting quite well in his new home. Getting along awesome with Avery and loves Marley and all the kitties. He is a very well behaved young man and we hope that continues!!!

Indy Weekend

You just can't beat Indy at Christmas time. We did a weekend away down in Indy and enjoyed getting caught up in the Christmas spirit. It was quite cold but we took Avery on her first carriage ride around downtown and we all loved it.
Avery was petting her new friend and possibly trying to talk Daddy into taking him home. :)
"Wow-he is B-I-G Daddy!"
Cuddling with Daddy to stay warm on our ride around downtown. Thankfully they had lots of blankets to snuggle down in.
Brrrrrr...it was cold but well worth it.
We all enjoyed our night away from home and Avery did awesome for her first stay in a hotel.
Ready to head to the pool but learning the hotel remote first :)
This was Avery's first time swimming in a big pool and she was all about it!
She was so full of smiles when she saw all the water.
Such a little fish....the cold water didn't even stop her.

O' Christmas Tree

Avery and Daddy on the hunt for our 2010 Christmas tree. This is such a great tradition that we stuck with and means so much each year to go out and make memories.
She had a ball playing peek-a-boo & hide & seek amongst all the trees at the tree farm.
Mommy & Avery checking out the tree to make sure it is "THE ONE".
Practicing her snow angel form...without the snow.
Digging riding in the console of Daddy's truck...such a different view outside of the car seat!
"Who's that?"....Avery spots Santa for the first time this year.....
It took Avery a bit to warm up to ole' St. Nick but when he asked her if she wanted a baby doll she quickly answered yes and flashed a big smile his way!
It appears Daddy's is more into the man in the red suit that Avery :) It is always fun to live through a child's eyes though.
Her face was PRICELESS every time she'd hear Santa's "HO HO HO-Merry Christmas".

Thanksgiving Break

Very into the beauty on Mamaw's Christmas tree. She was oh-so gentle checking out all the pretty ornaments....at MAMAW's! (not exactly so gentle at home)
We just can't get enough of this kid...
Laying under the Christmas tree while playing with all of the Winnie the Pooh stuffed animals, kept her entertained for hours.
Avery was able to spend the whole weekend with her Auntie Ashley and Uncle Pete since there were home from Charlotte for Thanksgiving. She soaked up as much time with them as she could on the extended weekend.
Tickle fight!!!!

No more cast!

Avery got her pins removed and her cast off on Nov. 19th. She did awesome!!!!
Funny how she didn't bother going to the stairs once while in a cast but the minute we get home from the Riley minus the cast she heads straight to the stairway.

Daily in training

Avery was super excited to see her daddy this fall as we met him out in one of the fields for a ride-a-long.
She just spotted the BIG tractor she was going to be riding in...
Can't tell that she loves it, can you?
The new pilot takes control....it won't be long and she'll be out their running tractors for Grandpa, Alan & Robert.
Helping daddy with his afternoon snack....all part of the fun of riding in a Daily tractor :)
She was very interested in watching the big wheels and LOVED the end rows when we would turn around as it was very bumpy which made her squeal and giggle.
Daddy took her to see a huge rock at the edge of the field that was WAY bigger than she was.
***Apologies to Avery's followers for the delay updating the blog....our computer was down and in the shop for repairs but we are back up and working! :)***
